Summer Sabbatical

Hello friends!

I think this has got to be the most beautiful Moscow summer I can remember since moving here 5 years ago. Just the right amount of sun and rain, hot and cold – nothing like this horrible summer 2 years ago…

Moscow, as I’ve mentioned before, really slows down in the summer. Everyone who can leaves town for dacha’s or to visit family if you’re an expat. We’re not leaving the city for now, but I’m planning to take a small break from blogging – a summer sabbatical of sorts.

Posts will be less frequent for the month of August (and possibly the beginning of September, depending on my work schedule), but keep checking in as I’m hoping to post about once a week still.

Do you slow down in the summer? Have you ever taken a sabbatical (and was it hard to get permission from your boss to do so??)?

P.S. this video of parents at the Olympics made me laugh. So cute!

P.P.S. photo of flamingos at the Moscow Zoo found here.
