Happy Friday!

Can you believe it’s the end of June already??? When did that happen?

Things are pretty quiet this end of the city, and economist husband and I both have the weekend off, but we haven’t quite decided what we’re going to do… It’s been so long since we both had two days off together. It’s such a pleasant surprise, and we’re not quite sure what to do with the time!

What are your plans?

Loved the Lenin link – funny!… or scary… haven’t decided yet… They should try to make one with Putin! 🙂

I’ve thought of you, another northern expat, this week. Is Midsummer celebrated in Russia? It’s a huge Swedish holiday. Your photos are just beautiful and I look forward to beginning our summer holidays and the chance to peruse your blog. Lovely. (I have a strong urge to now make popsicles!)

    • So nice of you to stop by and say hello. My favorite part of northern hemisphere summer is how the sun practically never sets. I love i! Midsummer isn’t really celebrated here – there are just lots of Communist leftover holidays. This weekend is youth day, which means Red Square is shut down for a rock concert….Enjoyed your ‘midsummer crown’ tutorial 🙂
